Scientists on the decline

Nowadays, the decline in number of scientists has been inversely influenced by the importance of science. There is an annual fall of around five per cent in the number of people studying science in higher education. As a result, there is a decline in the number of those who are competent to teach science at schools. Parallel with this condition, in either school or higher education, the number of students who are interested in studying science drops. In regards to this, there has been assumption among notable scientists that science gradually appears to be less important. Many people find talking about the latest discoveries in science is not as exciting as talking about the current issues. The reason might be related with an opinion among many people that the scientists are usually underpaid, especially at their early career. From the other scientist’s point of view, this condition is contributed by people’s misjudgment toward them. People often regard what the scientists do as just another wishful thinking that has hardly ever been proven. However, scientists do play important role in this world, and therefore promoting science among young generation has always been necessary.

(Alhamdulliah aku dapat nila A- untuk tugas paraphrasing ini) :)))
